Over here at Cars and Crewnecks, we’ve concocted a few t-shirt designs just in time for the holiday season! Our shirts make the perfect gift for car enthusiasts. We’ve got a pretty diverse lineup of cars so let’s get right into it!
The BMW E30 M3
The BMW E30 M3 is a classic! The boxy coupe from the 80s is an absolute head-turner! So it was a no-brainer that we had to put it on a t-shirt! As a touring car champion, the E30 M3 quickly became an icon. It ran from 1986 to 1991. It came with an inline 4 cylinder engine. This car produced 238 horsepower, which may seem like a small number but paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and lightweight body made it the ultimate driving experience. Nowadays these cars are going for absurd prices, but thankfully our new t-shirt won’t drain your wallet. Buy it here!
Acura Integra Type R
The Acura Integra Type R, a JDM legend, and a teen in the 1990s dream car. This sporty coupe was powered by a Honda B18C5 equipped with VTEC. It made 195 horsepower, yet it only weighed 2,639 pounds. The high performance engine redlined at a screaming 8,400 rpms. And of course, it came standard with a 5-speed manual.
The lower and stiffer suspension, along with the front-wheel drive system made this car handle like a dream. The Acura Integra Type R wasn’t made for comfort, it was made for performance. The engineers over at Honda made weight reduction a priority. They used thinner glass for the windshield and sunroof, got rid of cruise control, air conditioning, and used very little sound deadening (so you can hear the engine scream as you rip it through the canyons of course). This car came in some pretty cool colors, but nothing was quite as cool as Honda’s “Phoenix Yellow”. Complete with the Type R badging on the quarter panel and the red Honda logo, this car was extremely sought after. This car was built for car enthusiasts, and so was the shirt we designed! Porsche 944 Turbo
Ultimate German engineering is what you’ll find in the Porsche 944 Turbo. This retro sports car quickly became extremely sought after with prices skyrocketing. This 80s specimen doesn’t follow Porsche’s standard formula for a sports car. Instead of the flat-6 engine mounted in the rear partnered with rear wheel drive, the 944 sported a 2.5 liter, turbocharged, inline-4 up front. Its drivetrain was still rear-wheel drive though.
This Porsche was a turn in a new direction for Porsche, though they still produced cars such as the 911. The pop-up headlights are what truly ties this sports car together and makes it truly an 80s dream. This car has quickly become sought after by older and younger car enthusiasts alike. Honda S2000
The Honda S2000, not only is it another JDM legend we’re adding to the list, but it’s also another Honda we’re adding to the list. The Honda S2000 gets its name from the 2 liter engine it comes with, following the tradition of S500, S600, and S800.
This car, almost 20 years later, is still an ultimate track weapon. The 2 liter inline-4 pushed 237 horsepower, mated to a 6 speed manual transmission and a redline of 9,000 rpms! This Japanese legend, beloved by many car enthusiasts, is still very sought after. This design is one that any car enthusiast in your life would love, so buy it!
Camaro IROC Z
The Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z, quite possibly my favorite car, is so 80s it hurts. The slightly boxy shape, the t-tops, and the low, sleek profile gives it the retro vibe so many desire to feel. The IROC Z was a special edition trim package for the Camaro in the 1980s.
The term “IROC” came from the International Race Of Champions that Chevrolet entered the Camaro into, so Chevrolet took their Z-28 and created a special edition IROC trim package. This trim ran from 1985 to 1990 and sold like hotcakes. They’ve quickly become a collectors car and have shot up in prices. This was actually the first design we made and it set the tone going forward. Buy the shirt here!
